SL's Best Hurler is Ashley Monday, November 2nd, 2043 Gary Ashley of the Mississippi Mockingbirds outdid his pitching peers this year and has been honored with the 2043 United States Silver League Outstanding Pitcher Award. During his remarkable year Ashley posted a 10-5 record in 23 starts. In 144.1 innings he yielded 99 hits and 19 walks while striking out 180 and compiling a fine 1.93 ERA. Jay Cannon of the Cleveland Browns finished second in voting, while Jay Newton of the Colorado Billy Goats finished third. |
