Eugene Loses Guzmán for Year

David Guzmán has to call it a season. The Eugene Vandals closer sustained a season-ending injury against the Lake Erie Arryns and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Guzmán was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as radial nerve compression and stated that he would not be able to play for 5-6 months.

Checking out his season stats to date, Guzmán has 2 saves in 22 relief appearances with a 2-2 mark and 2.05 ERA. Teams are batting .154 against him.
