Derrick Davis Captures PA Outstanding Hitter Award Tuesday, September 29th, 2043 The manager of the Caldwell Chiefs said he thinks Derrick Davis is only going to get better as he gets older. He may only be 22, but it will be hard to top the third baseman's 2043 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the USPL Single A Outstanding Hitter Award. His winning campaign featured a .241 batting average and a .346 on-base percentage this year. In 89 games he piled up 78 hits, 18 doubles, 7 triples, 19 home runs, 50 RBIs and 54 runs scored. He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 10. Aleixos Arde of the Myrtle Beach Seahawks finished second in voting, while Luis Flores of the Delmarva Gallos finished third.
