Belleville's Woods to Miss Season Monday, August 10th, 2043 The doctors have spoken and Tom Woods of the Belleville Bulls didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Woods sustained his season-ending injury during the Washington Generals game yesterday at Washington Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Belleville medical staff reported Woods had a damaged elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 11 months. His record for the year is 7-3 in 16 starts and Woods has a 2.72 ERA. |
