However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 18-year-old reliever suffered a stretched elbow ligament throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Guerrero would miss 9-10 months of the season. Guerrero's record up to now is 1-and-3 with no saves and a 5.71 ERA.
