Hit Streak Now at 20 for Bonilla Tuesday, June 30th, 2043 The Columbia River Rats stopped the Kingston Mangos today 10-3 and Jesús Bonilla collected a base hit yet again. The Columbia third baseman finished with 3 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Bonilla told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Jesús Bonilla flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th and singled in the 7th. Bonilla is hitting .318 this season with 3 home runs, 23 RBIs and 31 runs scored. He has 63 hits in 198 at-bats. |
