No Late-Season Magic Coming: Alameda Out of Playoffs Sunday, September 6th, 2043 A close finish won't make it any easier for the Alameda Airmen to end their season early. The club has now been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention for the 2043 season. "There were some things broken and some things said that are not repeatable," Airmen manager Edgardo Álvarez. Alameda last appeared in the postseason in 2036. This is their 7th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 21 times in their 23-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Airmen have missed the playoffs 9 times. |
