Season May Be Over for Expos Williams Wednesday, August 19th, 2043 Richard Williams of the Expos just might have to call it quits for the season. The 22-year-old Niagara Falls starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Pontiac Godfathers recently at Pontiac Copperdome. Williams suffered a damaged elbow ligament while throwing a pitch. The Expos medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 12 months. This season Williams has fanned 90 in 101 innings and collected a 3-9 record with a 4.01 ERA. |
