League Suspends Pope and Walden for Fisticuffs Tuesday, August 11th, 2043 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Pontiac-Yucca Valley contest at Pontiac Copperdome. The Godfathers Rich Pope and the Yellows Steve Walden will have to sit out 4 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Currently Pope is batting .212 with 35 hits and 3 home runs. He has knocked in 21 runs and scored 14 times. Walden has no saves in no relief appearances this season with a 4-4 record and 3.40 ERA. |
