Cattlemen Squelch Lighthouse Offense in Shutout Win
|
Ft. Worth starter Gustavo Tobías had a strong outing against the Long Island Lighthouse at The Cattle Pen. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-0 win. Tobías got the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. Tobías allowed no earned runs. Earning his 1st save for Ft. Worth was Dragutin Petrovic.
Long Island had a runner on 1st in the top of the eighth. With one out, Colm Goodwill stood at the plate, hoping to find a gap. Instead, he hit into a double play. The score remained 2-0, Ft. Worth. The Lighthouse never could mount a comeback.
The Lighthouse fall to 9-11 and continue to sputter in the early going.
