The Voodoo Lounge was the site of a competitive game between the Kingston Township Knights and New Orleans Voodoo.
Getting an impressive start from Travis Hayes, New Orleans beat Kingston Township by the score of 2-0. The win was Héctor Barrera's in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Pei Fa took the loss for Kingston Township.
David Knight went 1-2 for New Orleans. The 25-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jacob Messer. It was his 32nd RBI of the season.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" New Orleans manager Chase Sims said.
New Orleans occupies 9th place in the Silver League at 30-42.
