White Walkers Get Road Win, 5-2
|
The Buffalo White Walkers picked up a win at Baltimore Grounds, knocking off the Baltimore Bullets, 5-2. Starting pitcher Dave Dunn played a key role in the triumph. Dunn, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. The White Walkers, with just their 4th win in 18 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.
Buffalo used the clutch hitting of Ryder Ringor to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the White Walkers ahead, 4-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Dunn told the Buffalo Today.
