Host Shredders Drop Pivotal Game , Now Trail Series -

Game was big. So was Ratko Peric.
The Greenville starter rose to the occasion at The Hollywood Bowl today, earning player of the game honors after leading the 84s to a crucial 5-3 victory over the Hollywood Shredders. Peric threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball as the 84s won on the road to seize a - lead in the best-of- Round 2044.
Greenville used the timely hitting of Ángelo Delgado to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put the 84s on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Delgado told the Greenville Daily News.
The next game is scheduled for Saturday, October 10th, 2043. The scheduled starters for the game are Jesús Vidro for the Hollywood Shredders and Ignacio Manzanedo for the the Greenville 84s.
