The D.C. Divided took San Mateo pitcher Sylvain Richard's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Lang Park. The final score had D.C. getting past the Dirty Reds, 4-3. Richard went 7 innings and allowed 3 earned runs, striking out 8. The third-place Divided have won 6 straight games.
Kimi Okubo had a nice at-bat for the Divided with no one out in the top of the 11th. With the bases empty, the first baseman drew a walk, which would prove important in the D.C. win.
"It was terrific getting this win," Okubo said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
