Humpbacks Hammered by López, Drop Game 3 to Nobles
The Bakersfield Nobles moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the Alaskan Humpbacks on the road at Sea World by a score of 8-7. Nobles left fielder Ángel López was named player of the game after he was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The win gives the Nobles a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 PL AAA Championship.

Kiambu Fentress produced at a critical juncture for Bakersfield. It happened in the top of the eighth with Yushua Wazir on the mound and Bakersfield leading 7-6. That's when the 25-year old shortstop Fentress hit a sacrifice fly.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Bakersfield manager José Gonzáles.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow. Slated to start are Robert Moody for the Bakersfield Nobles and Gerard Tremwade for the the Alaskan Humpbacks.
