Tigers Even With Crossbeaus After Extra-Innings Win
The Twinsburg Tigers and the Beaumont Crossbeaus will take the SL R Championship to a decisive 5th game. Facing a must-win situation at The Target today, the Tigers beat the Crossbeaus 4-3 in extra innings to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Twinsburg left-hander Benjamin Crump was named player of the game in the win after a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball.

Late-game drama came in the top of the tenth inning. With no one out and the bases empty, the batter, Christian Ford, hit a double. It helped Twinsburg seize the win.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Twinsburg manager Morton Kelly. "It's usually not just one thing."

The next game is set to be played Tuesday at Dodge Field in Twinsburg. The scheduled starters for the game are Bernard Miller for Beaumont and Luis Rosário for Twinsburg.
