Arde Blasts Blaze, Seahawks Take Game 5, 9-4
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the South Beach Blaze on the road at The Ballpark on the Beach by a score of 9-4. Seahawks catcher Aleixos Arde was named player of the game after he was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The win gives the Seahawks a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-5 PL A Championship.

Myrtle Beach used the timely hitting of José García to capture the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Seahawks on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.

"We came out aggressive," said Seahawks manager Omer van Osch. "We came out swinging the bats."
