Blaze Hammered by Ayala, Drop Game 3 to Seahawks
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading South Beach Blaze, winning 10-4 at Seahwaks Stadium today. Seahawks right fielder Bartolo Ayala was named player of the game after he went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The win cuts the deficit facing the Seahawks to 2-1 in the best-of-5 PL A Championship.

Myrtle Beach grabbed control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Darren Gordam delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 4-3 in favor of the Seahawks.

"They say the first rule of the playoffs is to win the home games," Gordam said afterward. "It feels nice, but it is kind of what we were supposed to do."

Game 4 is set to be played tomorrow. Slated to start are Shan-tang Yang for the South Beach Blaze and Basem Al-Saodi for the the Myrtle Beach Seahawks.
