Trash Pandas Even With Fire After Walk-Off Win
The Watford City Trash Pandas and the Franklin Fire will take the 3L R Championship to a decisive 5th game. The Trash Pandas got a dramatic walk-off victory in a must-win situation today to beat the Fire 8-7 at Trash Panda Field and force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Watford City third baseman Don Hartman was named player of the game in the win after he was 2-2 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 times.

Late-game drama came in the bottom of the ninth inning. With one out and a runner on 1st, the batter, Don Fowler, hit a double. It helped Watford City seize the win.

"We played hard and won," said Hartman. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'

Game 5 is scheduled for Tuesday, September 15th, 2043 at Lawmen Ballpark. The scheduled starters for the game are Teika Fukuda for Watford City and Will Bass for Franklin.
