When the games really matter, the Fort Knox Centennial put on their best show, beating the Memphis Music by a final score of 11-0 today. Reynaldo Parriego earned player of the game honors, as he was 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Fort Knox now leads Memphis 1-0 in the best-of-5 affair.

Fort Knox used the timely hitting of Luis Macazaga to capture the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Centennial on top, 4-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Justin Saginov said.

Game 2 is set to be played tomorrow at The Stage in Memphis in Memphis. The scheduled starters for the game are Clark Ritchie for the Fort Knox Centennial and Gizaw Sahiri for the the Memphis Music.
