BC Win to Extend Series Lead to 2-0
|
The Put-In-Bay BC moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Yucca Valley Yellows at Put-In-Bay Ballpark by a score of 6-4. BC right fielder Bud Mullins was named player of the game after he was 2-4 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win gives the BC a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 3L A Championship.
In the bottom of the fourth, Put-In-Bay third baseman Zach Stafford had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Stafford stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 6-4, Put-In-Bay. For the game, he was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk.
"I try to take on every game as if it is the most important of the season, so I don't feel like anything's different now," Stafford said after the game.
The next game is scheduled for Friday. Slated to start are Jong-beom Park for the Put-In-Bay BC and Ryan Riley for the the Yucca Valley Yellows.
