The Long Island Lighthouse moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the Nashville Outlaws on the road at Nashville Stadium by a score of 7-5. Lighthouse second baseman Jonas van Claveren was named player of the game after he was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win gives the Lighthouse a - advantage in the best-of- Round 1.

van Claveren had a critical at-bat in the top of the third for Long Island, coming through with a run-scoring single to put Long Island in front, 2-0.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Long Island manager Michael Esposito.
