The Nova Scotia Leviathan moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the Ft. Worth Cattlemen on the road at The Cattle Pen by a score of 8-2. Leviathan shortstop Juan Neváres was named player of the game after he was 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. The win gives the Leviathan a - advantage in the best-of- Third League Championship.

The game turned with one out in the top of the seventh when Neváres, who is tied for 4th in the 3L in doubles with 16, hit a bases-clearing double. It propelled the Leviathan into the lead, 5-2.

"I'm not sweating it," Ft. Worth manager Scott Thompson told reporters after the loss. "We'll recover. They say it's all about winning games, but I would put up with a heck of a lot of losses as long as we hoist that trophy at the end of the year."
