Almost There: Toledo On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 14-6 Win
The Toledo Stingers moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the Buffalo White Walkers on the road at Beyond the Wall by a score of 14-6. Stingers second baseman Grover Barbaran was named player of the game after he went 4-4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs. The win gives the Stingers a - advantage in the best-of- Third League Championship.

It could have been a different outcome for Toledo, had it not been for Pedro Serano, the former first round draft pick . Serano contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put Toledo up, 4-1.

"Feels good to get the job done," Serano said after the game.
