Chase Sims pitched well, but the Kingston Township Knights lost anyway, falling 3-2 in extra innings to the Echo Park Lakers at LA Forum. With the win, Echo Park took a - lead in the best-of- Third League Championship. Sims was named player of the game after giving the Knights 9 innings and allowing 2 earned runs.

Philip Todd swatted a solo home run for Echo Park in the bottom of the 11th. The left fielder went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 1.
