Hollywood designated hitter Kanko Umaba pounded Vancouver Grey Wolves pitchers at The Hollywood Bowl, but it was not enough to keep the Shredders from falling, 9-8 in Game of the Third League Championship. Umaba hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice and was named player of the game for his efforts, even as he saw the Shredders slip to a - deficit in the best-of- series.

Vancouver used the timely hitting of Cameron Woolever to capture the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Grey Wolves on top, 9-8. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.

"What a game," said Woolever. "We needed every last run."
