Thunder Hawks Clip Eclipse in Tight Contest

In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Northville pitcher Sanford Shades gave the Thunder Hawks all they could handle, but in the end, Ft. Polk South left Old-Timers Park with a 6-3 win. Shades allowed no earned runs on 3 hits over 6 innings. With the victory, the Thunder Hawks record now stands at 48-54.
Ft. Polk South needed the clutch hitting of Remco Mastenbroek to notch the win. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Thunder Hawks on top, 4-3. For the game, Mastenbroek had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Mastenbroek told the Ft. Polk South Herald.
