The Ithaca Fighting Imps got a magnificent effort from pitcher Hank Garrett, who kept Chesapeake hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Fighting Imps win at Ghost Crab Park. Garrett, now 5-7, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. With the win, Ithaca goes to 31-69, while the Cangrejos Fantasmas fall to 57-43.

Ithaca used the clutch hitting of Paul Wood to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Fighting Imps the lead, 3-1. For the game, Wood had 1 single and 1 double in 3 at-bats.
