Screaming Eagles Come Back Late, Nip Ogres
Olympia got a terrific performance from pitcher Gerardo García, but it wasn't enough to beat the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles. Mercer Island won the Mercer Island Grounds contest, 3-2. García was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. The first-place Screaming Eagles have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.

Raúl Miranda was the walk-off hero for Mercer Island. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Screaming Eagles pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Miranda said.
