A 4-RBI performance from the 27-year old center fielder Keith Lynn helped the Providence Pilgrims beat the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 11-3. Lúcio Salas was the winner. Over 8.1 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 10 hits, with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts. The 6th-place Pilgrims now have a 4-game winning streak.

Gilberto Ortíz had a big 2-run single for the Pilgrims in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Providence leading 4-3 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from John Fleming and stroked the single to center. It was his 59th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pilgrims ahead, 6-3.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Lynn.
