Olympia first baseman Paul Stark was sensational. He went 2-2 with a home run and was hit 2 times. He scored 2 times and drove in 2, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. St. Petersburg beat the Ogres, 6-5. Stark was named the player of the game despite the loss. With the win, the Thunder have a record of 52-35.
Yataro Nagai had the most critical at-bat for St. Petersburg. With two in the top of the ninth inning, Nagai hit a 1-1 curveball from Emery Manhoran for a run-scoring single. It put St. Petersburg in front, 6-5.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Nagai said after the game.
