|
Getting a good performance from second baseman Gin-fan Chong, the Olympia Ogres defeated the St. Petersburg Thunder, 9-6. Chong went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Ogres. Tommy Moore converted his 10th save in 11 tries. Olympia bumps their record to 40-45 with the win.
Ramón Vegerano contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With a runner on 1st, he hit a single. It was one at-bat that propelled Olympia to the win.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Vegerano said after the game.
