The 2043 season is getting ugly for Ithaca.

The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks knocked off the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 11-3, at Imps Park. Anton Zdravomyslov, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Ft. Polk South won. The right fielder was 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Lucas van Halteren was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed no runs on 6 hits, with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. Jeremy Bearimy finished to wrap up his 3rd save.

Ft. Polk South took a 2-0 lead on Raúl Colomo's 80th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Colomo hit in the top of the seventh, left Ithaca pitcher Tom Lehman visibly frustrated.

"We maximized our offense today," said Ft. Polk South skipper John Anderson. "That makes everyone's life easier."
