Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas starter William Thompson was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Providence Pilgrims, 4-3. Vasquo Lousada was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 8 save opportunities. The Cangrejos Fantasmas raised their record to 40-32.
Joey Terry had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the seventh for the Cangrejos Fantasmas. Coming up with the bases loaded and Chesapeake trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run double.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Providence skipper John Aston, "and it cost us."
