The Westwood Sixshooters defeated the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 9-5, in USPL Double A action at Imps Park, with Westwood shortstop Slavik Akentiev named player of the game. The Sixshooters now have a mark of 28-42.

Westwood used the timely hitting of Earl McCarty to capture the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Sixshooters on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Akentiev.
