Thunder Hawks Get Win, Extend Streak to 5

The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks defeated the Westwood Sixshooters, 7-4, at Sixshooters Stadium. Ft. Polk South second baseman Raúl Colomo was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Jeremy Bearimy picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-2. Joop Els was tagged with the loss. The 8th-place Thunder Hawks have won 5 in a row.
Ft. Polk South took the lead in the top of the fifth when Colomo hit a run-scoring double. His 12th double of the season made the score 2-1, Ft. Polk South.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Colomo told a Ft. Polk South Herald reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
