Sea Dogs Get Win, Extend Streak to 5
|
Maine turned a good effort from starter Arthur Anderson into a win over the Bompton Baby Lakers at Field of the Browns. The final score was 7-2. Manuel Gonzáles picked up the save for Maine, his 9th of the year. Maine has now won 5 games in a row.
Maine took a 4-1 lead on Gabriel Montaño's 3rd triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which Montaño hit in the top of the seventh, left Bompton pitcher Edemona Babitu visibly frustrated.
"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said Anderson. "Successful pitchers do it."
