The Northwest Territory Beavers topped the Flint Crush, 3-1, in M3L Rookie action at Beaver Town. The player of the game was Northwest Territory pitcher Volmer Aalbers. The third-place Beavers raised their record to 53-36.

The Beavers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jean-Pierre Alix. For the game, Alix was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 57th hit of the season gave Northwest Territory a 1-0 lead.

"Volmer is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Northwest Territory manager Tom Carlson.
