5 Straight Wins for Fire
Brad Casey never let the Shockers get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Fire to a 4-1 win. The Fire improved to a lofty 62-24.

Early in the game, designated hitter Daniel Black had a run-scoring single for Franklin. It was his 26th hit of the season and put the Fire on top, 1-0.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Franklin manager Mark Davis.
