Baby Lakers Rally to Eke Out Win
|
Bompton Baby Lakers starter Charlie Lyon turned in a workmanlike performance against the Northwest Territory Beavers at Field of the Browns. He threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball in the 6-5 win. Bompton is now 32-37. Northwest Territory is 37-32.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Bompton left fielder Kobbe Elders, facing Tony Betancourt, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Baby Lakers the 6-5 win.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Elders said after the game.
