The Ballard Beavers picked up a win at Beaver Town, knocking off the Northwest Territory Beavers, 4-2. On the mound for Ballard was right-hander Dan Barnes, who played a pivotal role in the win. Barnes got the win, improving to 2-3. He allowed 6 hits and walked 3 over 6 innings. Barnes allowed 2 earned runs. Cam Butler closed the door for Ballard, picking up his 5th save of the year.
Ballard took control in the top of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 1st, Tom Hancock hit a run-scoring double to make it 3-2, Beavers.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Hancock said.
The Beavers move to 29-28 with the win, while the Beavers drop to 32-25.
