|
Franklin shortstop Ji-hoon Ku was instrumental in his team's 7-4 win over the Watford City Trash Pandas. Ku, who is tied for 5th in the 3R in triples with 4, went 2-3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Fire. The win was credited to Gerald Cain in relief. His record improves to 5-1. Robert Wills took the loss. The Fire, now 37-15, have won 6 in a row.
Ku had a game-changing single in the bottom of the eighth. On a full count fastball from Robert Wills, he banged a run-scoring single to center, giving the Fire a 5-4 lead. It was the 44th hit of the year for Ku.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Franklin manager Mark Davis.
