Beavers Fall Short, 3-2, at Moose Jaw
|
Moose Jaw Canucks starter Hakizimana Kipkorir was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Northwest Territory Beavers, 3-2. Kipkorir picked up the win for Moose Jaw, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 2-6. Arnel Lazaro got credit for the save for Moose Jaw. It was his 9th of the year.
Moose Jaw took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Marcantonio Talamante hit a 2-run single to make it 2-0, Canucks.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Moose Jaw skipper Bobby Davis. "I can't complain."
Even with the win, the Canucks have a dismal 16-35 record.
