Fire Win Another One
|
Franklin beat Greenport on the strength of starter Will Bass's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 3-2 win. The save was credited to Ján Ïtor, his 10th. Franklin has now won 7 games in a row.
The Fire got a big at-bat from second baseman Raúl Bermúdez. For the game, Bermúdez was 1 for 4 with a walk. In the bottom of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 16th hit of the season gave Franklin a 1-0 lead.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Franklin manager Mark Davis.
