Plattsburgh beat Beaumont on the strength of starter Micheal Bly's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 6-1 win. Plattsburgh reliever Alfredo Casas got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Burian Polyn was tagged with the loss. Plattsburgh is 5th in the Silver R with a record of 48-48.

Mark Quick had a key at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for Plattsburgh. With the bases loaded and the Puffer Fish leading 2-1, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Bly said in reaction to the win.
