The exploits of third baseman Vic Coates, who leads the SR in stolen bases with 22, helped the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish defeat the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 4-2. Coates went 4-4 with 4 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Plattsburgh, at 43-41, sits in 5th place in the Silver R.
Jay Harris took Jorge Cestero deep in the bottom of the 12th. His 2-run home run put the Puffer Fish on top, 4-2. In all, Harris had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 5.
