Interns Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Crossbeaus
|
Behind a solid performance from left fielder Mo Baring, the Capital Hill Interns defeated the Beaumont Crossbeaus, 4-3. Baring went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Interns. Capital Hill is 48-34 and Beaumont, with the loss, 49-33.
Baring had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-2 fastball from Qu-bing Li, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Interns a 4-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Baring.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Baring told the Capital Hill Bulletin.
