Crossbeaus Get Win, Extend Streak to 8
|
The Beaumont Crossbeaus went home winners at Ballpark of Albuquerque, thanks in large part to starter Bernard Miller. Miller silenced the Germantown Uruguayans, enabling Beaumont to grab the 6-0 win. The Uruguayans, now 31-50, have lost 4 straight.
Beaumont relied on the hitting of Chiel Spronck to pick up the win. The right fielder ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the first inning to put the Crossbeaus on top, 1-0. For the game, Spronck had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"It's great to be on a roll," said Spronck.
