Cajuns Win at Twinsburg, 5-2
|
The Crowley Cajuns picked up a win at Dodge Field, knocking off the Twinsburg Tigers, 5-2. Starting pitcher Ronnie Gómez played a key role in the triumph. Earning his 7th save of the year was Joonas Noronen. Crowley currently is in 4th place in the Silver R at 45-35.
Crowley used the timely hitting of Freddy Ordóñez to capture the win. The catcher socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Cajuns ahead, 5-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was an important one.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Crowley manager Tim Norris. "Our pregame was pretty good."
