The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish defeated the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 5-1, in USSL Rookie action at The Igloo, with Plattsburgh pitcher Patrick Saunders named player of the game. Saunders got the win, improving to 7-2. He allowed 8 hits and walked 1 over 6.1 innings. Saunders allowed 1 earned run. The Puffer Fish sit in 5th place in the Silver R with a record of 35-32.

Plattsburgh used the timely hitting of Jesse González to capture the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Puffer Fish on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
